From detection to defensible action
AgriSense™ is being shaped around a complete evidence chain: Detect → Verify → Authorise → Intervene → Prove → Learn. Aerial imagery may reveal crop or weed patterns, but field observations, provenance and human judgement are needed before those patterns can support action.
The goal is not another isolated weed map. It is a governed route connecting imagery, field history, validation, an approved treatment intention and evidence of what actually happened.

Weed intelligence and ground verification
Controlled capability work covers weed and crop classification, mapped density, confidence and ground validation. Candidate weeds or patches can be presented for inspection without implying that every model detection is correct.
Field™ photographs, samples and observations provide the reference evidence needed to accept, reject or refine an interpretation.

Prescription support—not automatic instruction
AgriSense™ is intended to support imported or future Tropos-generated prescription maps. A prescription should retain its source, version, zones, proposed rates, exclusions and approval history.
Spot-treatment and variable-rate zones are capability directions for authorised human review. No analytical output moves directly from a model to machinery, and externally produced agronomist-approved prescriptions can be accommodated before Tropos weed models are available.

Designed to work with precision-farming equipment
Human-reviewed prescription maps and treatment zones are intended to be exportable into compatible precision-agriculture workflows, including compatible land-based vehicles, application controllers and farm mapping systems. This allows AgriSense™ evidence to support machinery and tools already used on the farm rather than creating an isolated map.
Compatibility must be confirmed for the particular vehicle, controller, coordinate system and file format before operational use. Export does not send an unreviewed model result directly to machinery: the prescription, legal basis, agronomic decision and safe application method remain subject to approval by the responsible people.

Proving planned versus applied
The wider Spray Assurance concept is designed to compare an approved prescription with application evidence: where treatment was switched on or off, actual coverage, interruptions, exceptions and operator declarations.
Future as-applied maps and planned-versus-actual reconciliation would connect AgriSense™ analysis with Operations™ authority and Field™ execution records. These are controlled future capabilities, not a claim of current unrestricted spraying operations.

Beyond a single treatment
The longer-term AgriSense™ direction includes establishment and emergence assessment, crop-health indicators, repeated trial surveys and a field-and-crop history across seasons.
Economic and sustainability measures—such as treatment cost, input use and environmental outcomes—must be calculated from observed evidence. Tropos will not claim chemical, cost or environmental savings until controlled trials support them.

Current boundary
AgriSense™ remains in controlled trials and registered capability development. Weed intelligence, prescription support, spray analysis and multi-season insight must not be interpreted as generally available production functionality.
Tropos does not claim autonomous agronomic decisions or general authorisation for commercial drone pesticide spraying. Legal, safety, agronomic and operational approval remains with the relevant authorised people and authorities.

Practical trials informing AgriSense™
Iurii has undertaken practical drone-application trials across agricultural and environmental settings. A seaweed-based treatment was applied to upland grazing land that livestock had previously refused to graze. The farmer reported that livestock subsequently grazed the land and that silage was produced there for the first time. These are field observations, not yet a controlled claim that the treatment caused the change.
Separate work has included liquid-fertiliser application trials on maize and broadcast bulrush establishment trials. A further seaweed trial is planned for March 2027 with a different farmer at another location in Wales, creating an opportunity to define comparable evidence and examine whether observations repeat under different conditions.

Cover crops and access beyond ground machinery
AgriSense™ also covers aerial establishment workflows, including broadcasting cover-crop seed into a standing crop where the seed, crop, timing and operating conditions are suitable. The evidence chain can retain the seed specification, planned area and rate, authorisation, application record, exclusions, field observations and later establishment assessment.
Drone broadcasting can provide an access option when wet ground would make conventional machinery unsuitable or risk damaging the field, and where steep terrain constrains traditional methods. It does not make every site or weather window suitable: the accountable operator and relevant agricultural specialists must assess the terrain, crop, payload, weather, aircraft capability, permissions and safe operating method for each job.
